SPoT Life Type of Day in California

Instead of staying in California after Costal Carnage and Damn Am Huntington, I went home for 48 hours. I flew right back out to California to meet up with Clements where we teamed up with Skateboarder Magazine to run an event at Stoner Plaza benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation. Clements and I had a free day so we decided to make the best out of it. We took a tour of the Beats by Dre offices in Los Angeles. Then we hit up Torey to get a tour of his house in the valley. After that we met up with Nick Tucker to skate PRod Plaza at Richie Valens Park. Finally, we ended our day at Paul Rodriguez's personal TF where an epic session went down. Lets just say it was a long and eventful day. This is a SPoT Life episode you will not want to miss.
Star Wars Geek's Dream

This past weekend was one of those rare ones I get where I had no job obligations. It felt great to be able to go out and enjoy my lovely little city of Ybor. On Saturday night The Bricks had an Art Show based on all the Star Wars movies. I took my camera out and took some photos. Check it out.
Chicken Coop

Our very own Rob Meronek has tried to make the turtle ditch Tampa's very own DIY spot, but the city has destroyed any attempt that has been made to make that place fun. Atlanta on the other hand has been successful in keeping DIY spots alive. A new one has emerged called the Chicken Coop, which go figure is located right next to a chicken coop. It has been made famous by Grant Taylor because of this ollie. Here are some photos I took from when we paid it a visit during our trip to Damn Am Atlanta. Check it out.

Red Bull Mind the Gap Contest

For the second year in a row, Red Bull hosted Mind the Gap. I love contests that incorporate real street spots. It was nice to see new tricks go down over the same gap as last year. Check out some photos.

The building was full for the SB Chronicles premiere at SPoT that was shown after
Saturday's Tampa Am Qualifiers. While I was at The Bricks, Porpe was here at SPoT: SB Chronicles Premiere at SPoT.

I have been in charge of the SPoT army for the past three years at Warped Tour. I have tried to get us kicked by heckling bad bands, throwing water balloons at security guards, and coordinating boxing matches. It has never worked until this year. Check it out.
