Boards for Bros is our charity at Skatepark of Tampa. All year long, we collect used parts in the Shop. At the end of the year, we gather some friends and put everything together into as many usable skateboards as we can. Then we go through the rough neighborhoods of Tampa and give out hundreds of boards to kids. Last night we had a two hours session of putting the first 100 boards together for our giveaway trip this Saturday.

The more I learn about photography, the more I realize I don't how much about photography. I'm blowing it on so many of these with the focus and exposure. What can I blame this on? My camera! Look at these crappy photos my camera took...

Thanks to Tony and the entire staff for an amazing event and experience. I finally feel normal after staying up all night on Saturday night and catching my 6am flight home on Sunday morning.

Thanks to Blue Point Brewing Company for some damn good beer, Nike SB and Creature for plenty of free product, and all you frontside grinders for my personal entertainment. I hope you see that all I'm trying to do is make you laugh with my weirdo sense of humor. If you don't have a funny bone, don't go any farther.

While the boss-men were out running the Vans Downtown Showdown, the rest of us were back in good ol' Tampa having a party at The Bricks and enjoying the Contest via webcast. Enjoy the photos.

Late Friday morning in Vancouver, we realized the forecast called for cats and dogs falling from the sky all weekend. There was an 80% chance that our Damn Am parade would be rained on the next day...

The collective heavy sigh of all Florida kids is deafening when you mention another school year to them. Luckily we're here for one last hoorah before the upcoming nine or so months of school with our annual Back To School Bash.

I was in town for just a couple days before having to head back out to San Diego for ASR this afternoon. While here, I took the lens through three of my favorite places.

If you’re in the skateboarding business, especially retail, I’m sure you’re scratching your head while looking at numbers decline like we have been over the last few years. What do you do? Change your product line up a little? Change how you present things? Change your shop layout? Change your website?

The Cure (two eggs over easy, cheese, bacon, tomato, avocado cream, toasted baguette) is a popular item. I ran into Bartender Durke on break who was enjoying one and snapped a photo before heading over to check out SPoT Skate Shop Ybor next door.

There's a bunch of new Traffic boards, Vans, Converse, new Austin's Art War decks, and more that are piled up and ready to be put out into SPoT Skate Shop. I rolled through with my camera again to show you some of it.

SPoT Skate Shop in Ybor is connected to The Bricks. We've been open just a few days down here now but we're already on a routine of regularly changing up the Shop and how it looks. Check out a few photos from today.

Last night I could barely stay awake. Tonight, I can't go to sleep. I think I'm finally a victim of jet lag. Here's a dump of random photos from my camera today. It's 2:30am in Amsterdam...

I'm here in Holland with the entire SPoTlight Productions crew minus that one guy who started a bar in Tampa and stayed home. We are here to watch a bunch of cleated mullets kick a ball into a box. Nah...

Brian and I stayed behind in Copenhagen while the rest of the crew took off on Monday after the event. Our mission was to host a few demos and then a small contest at this thing called Roskilde Festival.

After 300 or so skateboarders took off and hit the streets from Skatepark of Tampa, there wasn't much the police could do other than help clear a path at each intersection to help keep it safe.

I'm here in Charlotte, NC with Schaefer and Clements where SPoTlight Productions is running Red Bull's Manny Mania Contest today. Last night, we got into a bit around town...

Torey Pudwill has been on a rampage lately, and judging from word on the street about his recent part in the Transworld video, he's been hard at work when you're not looking, too.

Copenhagen Pro is June 25 - 27, 2010. Copenhagen is one of the most fun pro contests of the year. They change up the course every year and sent over these progress photos.

After a very hard working weekend, a lot of pro skaters and the grown up industry dudes posted up at the bar, stole some beer, and got a little loose. Brian's quote was, "We got back on the Skatepark of Tampa Party Team in one night."

I'm here in Innetech, Skatepark of Tampa's back offices where we handle bid'niss like checking in inventory, taking product photos, and scanning newspapers for silly headlines. Check out Friday Afternoon at Innetech.

As usual, it wasn't just skateboarding on this trip to China. The Woodward staff and their amazing hospitality allowed us to experience things in China that we would never have been able to do on our own. Here's a small sample of what we saw outside of Woodward in China.

Clem and I are on our way to China for the Woodward Grand Opening. On the way, we stopped in Vegas for 12 hours to high five some friends and get some skateboard bid'niss done at the Maloof Money Cup launch party. When I woke up, here's what was in my camera.. We are now in LA on our way to Beijing.

The short list of people we thanked on stage at the awards for being part of Tampa Pro. There are so many more of course, but unfortunately, we can't have every single one of you up. Thanks for another great time at Tampa Pro.

It's been an entire year since my last visit to Daytona for their annual Bike Week. This time, possibly due to the cold-ass weather and maybe the economy, it wasn't quite as white trash as I recall from last year.

Many trips out to skate some street spots begin with "Oh, let's go to that spot," only to get kicked out and for us to just end up exploring Tampa and the surrounding areas.

The plan was no plan at all. We were just hoping that some legit dudes would show up and skate. But Schaefer did a damn good job of recruiting heavy hitters from next door at CrossRoads and it was on.

Over at Damn Am and SPoTlight we used to joke about throwing our own party. We discussed the idea of a fun time with no cover and no security, free beer to those of age, and just a good ol’ time focused around skateboarding. Pair that up with the fact that we wanted to recognize the ams that participate in the Damn Ams and Tampa Am and the Damn Am Awards were born.

The SPoTlight Productions and Skatepark of Tampa crew just arrived in San Diego for ASR, Crossroads, and the 2nd Annual Damn Am Awards going on tonight. Here's a few photos of what's going on so far.

As juvenile and childish as the title may be, nothing sums up the experience I had with my friends at the grand opening of Tampa's Curtis Hixon Park than the aforementioned.
