Over the weekend, we did another Boards for Bros distribution in the local neighborhoods around SPoT. All year long, we collect used skate parts from everyone in the Shop. Several times per year, we all get together and form an assembly line to put the boards together. We piled them into Clem's truck and drove around town to give them out.

I also spent a few hours emptying out my camera and getting a few photos together here. What a weekend. Thanks again to everyone that was a part of it from viewers to workers to lurkers and all in between.

Moat Water is a beer made in collaboration with Skatepark of Tampa and Cigar City Brewing. The sauce is out and you can find it at The Bricks and other local bars around Tampa. With four releases, October is going to be a good month for Nike SB Dunk fans. When will these stores be held accountable? Foot Locker and Champs don't hit us over the head with double MSRP every time a new Jordan retro releases, so why the f#xk is it being allowed for skate shops to do this to the sneaker community? I am thankful some shops are still continuing to treat customers with respect. We should all give a big F#xK YOU to those shops who aren't.

Nike SB teamed up with Levi’s to make some really great jeans with Levi’s quality and Nike technology. If you haven't seen the Omar Salazar commercial for this, do yourself a huge favor and look it up right now. To celebrate the release of this top dollar denim, we threw a Death Race around the Park, had some free beers and Cuban food, and gave out some of the awesome Nike x Levi’s products to the kids. The Death Races were so much fun that we’ll be doing them again!

When I first got to Detroit and saw the miles and miles of run down neighborhoods and abandoned buildings, I was amazed that it reminded me of parts of Cuba I visited. How can this happen in America? I learned a lot walking through these neighborhoods and talking to some residents. I know everyone says skateboarding is the best thing ever, but after learning about this scene in Detroit and what skateboarders are doing there, you really understand that this skateboard thing and the culture of it is truly something special. Here are some photos and words...

We've got a perpetrator here committing atrocious acts, or should I say poopetrator. Yep, this mystery character I refer to as the Poo Poo Bandit is not settling for the plain old upper decker. That's too easy since you have actual privacy when executing that despicable act. This fecal criminal is TAKING A DUMP IN THE URINALS here at SPoT. Yes, you read that right. Full stand up, forward facing, hot steamy log pinch in plain view of any would be innocent bathroom arrivals. The poopetrator has struck three times now (three times!?!) and it's about time we get to the bottom of it.

There’s nothing like blowing off a day of work to go fishing. It’s not often that I do that, but I couldn’t decline this invite to hang with such a fun crew. The best part of this trip was that our captain was a true professional and got our 11 person group into the absolute best spots about 10 miles off of John’s Pass on St. Pete Beach. We caught nearly 200 fish and kept about 110 of them.

Some of us have grown up with an ever growing love for sneakers. To some, sneakers are made to be collected and treasured like sports cards. Sometimes when you "hail Mary" it, you get a shocker and actually make it, your jaw dragging on the ground as you roll away, arms in the air. Thanks to everyone that stopped by and to the Element Team that hung out all afternoon with everyone.
